All Saints Church Belton Men’s Walking Group has been established for several years and now runs under the title of “Boots and Routes”.
It is for any man who is over the age of 50 and is reasonably healthy but where a morning’s walk with likeminded people will add to both their body and spirit wellbeing. It is not just for men who attend church regularly but anyone who would enjoy great company and chat and time to reflect about life.
We walk mostly on the first Saturday in the month throughout the year with the weather hardly ever preventing us.
We walk local routes as well as routes within a radius of 20 miles of Belton. We set off after meeting locally and drive if necessary to a starting point. The walk is such we always end up at our starting point.
The routes are planned if possible to include a coffee stop on the way either at a café or if not from taking our own refreshments. Also within a close distance of the end point we stop for refreshments at a local inn before returning back to Belton.
The walks range from 6km to 12km in length but always at a pace that anyone can manage. The walks are both great for the body in exercise but great for the mind. It gives all a chance to talk about a great range of topics which can prove lifting and healing in many ways.
A range of walked routes are shown and more will be added with time. Some routes because of their interest are walked again in the following year. You can always be sure that something different will appear on the route from last time it was walked from scenery to people.
If you are interested and think about joining us please contact this web site at admin@beltonandbrowston.com with your name and contact telephone or mobile number and we will contact you with any information you might need.
As can be seen from the small recorded route maps of six of our walks they are both inland taking in rivers and marsh and coastal walks which include beach and dunes.
